What to Pack for Socotra — Complete Packing List 2026

By FEEL Socotra · Local Agency · Updated August 2026 · 7 min read

Packing for Socotra is different from packing for a regular beach holiday. You will be camping on remote beaches, hiking through rocky plateaus, snorkelling in marine reserves, and sitting by fires in the evening — sometimes all in one day. This list is based on the practical experience of our local team guiding expeditions on the island.

What we provide FEEL Socotra provides all camping equipment: tent, sleeping mattress, pillow, cover and blanket. You do not need to pack any sleeping gear.

How much cash to bring The tour price covers everything except personal expenses. Bring enough cash for personal purchases in Hadibu and any other personal expenses.
Reduce plastic waste Please minimise single-use plastic wherever possible. Choose reusable bottles, refillable containers and products with little or biodegradable packaging. Waste disposal on Socotra is limited, so everything you bring should ideally leave the island with you.

A Note on Connectivity

Internet and phone signal are very limited outside of Hadibu. This is not a problem — it is part of the experience. Let people at home know you will be mostly offline. WhatsApp messages will catch up when you get back to town.
