Why Socotra

Another
Planet.

Socotra is called the Galápagos of the Indian Ocean — a UNESCO World Heritage island where 37% of its plant species exist nowhere else on Earth. Dragon blood trees. Bottle trees blooming with pink flowers. Beaches that look like they were painted.

The people here are among the warmest you will ever meet — respectful, generous, genuinely happy to share their island. It is not a destination. It is a feeling.

Questions

Your Questions,
Answered.

Is Socotra safe? It's technically part of Yemen...
Socotra is a separate island, geographically isolated from the conflict areas of mainland Yemen. It has its own administration, functioning infrastructure, and a well-established tourism sector. Thousands of travellers visit every year without incident. We monitor the situation continuously and only operate when conditions are fully safe.
How do I get there, and what about the visa?
The only way to reach Socotra is by flying from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). We arrange everything — flights, tourist visa, and all logistics. You simply send us a passport photo and transfer the flight deposit. That's it.
What are the flight times? (2026 Schedule)
Flight Schedule: Jeddah – Socotra – Jeddah
Outbound – Every Tuesday
Return – Every Tuesday
Jeddah → Socotra
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Socotra → Jeddah
2:45 PM – 7:10 PM
Jeddah Airport Flights depart from Terminal N (North Terminal). Most international arrivals land at Terminal 1 — take a taxi or the shuttle bus (paid) to reach the North Terminal.
What are the camping conditions like?
We provide full camping gear: tent, mattress, cover, pillow, and blanket. You sleep under open skies — on beaches, in dragon blood forests, by the Indian Ocean. It is not glamping. It is real, raw camping — and it is one of the most beautiful things you will ever experience.
What about showers, toilets and food?
Sanitary facilities Showers and toilet facilities are now available at almost all overnight stops. The standard is simple but sufficient — this is camping, not a hotel. Food Meals are freshly prepared every day from local ingredients: fish, rice, vegetables, chicken, fruit, flatbread, and eggs. Everything is included — you will never go hungry.
Can I book a private tour, or customise the dates?
Absolutely. We offer fully private tours for individuals, couples, families, and groups. We can also adjust the program length, focus, and pace. Write to us and we will build your perfect trip together.
What fitness level do I need?
You do not need to be an athlete. You should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain, swimming, and spending time outdoors. Some days are active (hiking, snorkelling), others are relaxed (beach days, boat trips). We adapt to the group.
