Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This page explains what personal data FEEL Socotra collects when you contact us or book an expedition, and why.
Who we are
FEEL Socotra, operated by Omar Saleh, Socotra Island, Yemen. See our Imprint for full contact details. For any privacy question, write to info@feelsocotra.com.
What data we collect
- Contact details — your name and email address when you write to us by email or WhatsApp.
- Passport copy — to arrange your Socotra tourist visa and, if we assist with flights, your booking with Yemenia Airways. This is the most sensitive data we handle.
- Technical data — when you visit the site, Google Fonts and the Open-Meteo weather service (used for the live weather widget) may automatically receive your IP address as part of normal web delivery. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not use cookies for tracking.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, process your booking, and arrange your Socotra visa and, where requested, your flight. We do not use your data for marketing without your separate consent.
Who we share it with
- Yemenia Airways — if you ask us to assist with flight booking, we pass on the information needed to complete that booking.
- Yemeni visa authorities — your passport copy is used to arrange the Socotra tourist visa.
We do not sell your data or share it with any other third party.
How we store it
Passport copies and booking details are sent and stored via standard email. We recommend contacting us if you would like your data deleted once your trip is complete.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to info@feelsocotra.com.
